Basic Handgun for Self Defense is open to beginners and experienced students to create a solid foundation of skill sets to best serve them for home and self-defense. Bridge the gap between artificial range practice and real-world survival skills. Techniques that turn practice plinking into self-defense training make the most of your range time and ammo budget. We will reintroduce relevant distances, movement drills, lethal target zones, and pre and post-engagement techniques as they relate to the places and spaces you live in. Train in the context of your life for the fight of your life!
EQUIPMENT
- Working handgun (preferably a centerfire gun)
- 200 rounds of factory FMB ball ammunition
- Minimum of 3 Magazines
- 2 magazine pouches
- Eye & ear protection
- OWB Holster
- Sturdy gun belt
- Range appropriate attire: long pants, close- toe shoes, no low-cut tops allowed. Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required.
EQUIPMENT NOTE: For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during the live-fire portion of course.
ATTIRE: Range appropriate attire: long pants, closed-toe shoes, high collared shirt. Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required.
