EXPERIENCE LEVEL: This is NOT a basic pistol course. Students must have comprehensive grasp of range etiquette and basic gun handling and safety skills. Prior formal training on holster skills is strongly recommended.

Whether we find ourselves fighting from the ground because we were pushed, or just have two left feet, learning how to manage yourself and your firearm safely from grounded positions is an important skill set to develop. Are you prepared to work through the awkward but highly likely nonstanding (non-standard) positions you could probably find yourself in if a confrontation doesn’t go to plan and gravity wins? This session will have you on the ground, working two-handed, dominant and support hand only while adapting to what your body and vision need to be successful and safe. Learn techniques to overcome personal injuries and physical limitations in order to safely fight your way back to your feet. Being prepared means being ready to take control of the situation and respond appropriately when $#!t happens!
EQUIPMENT
- Working handgun (preferably a centerfire gun)
- 150 rounds of factory FMB ball ammunition
- Minimum of two (2) magazines, 3 magazines are recommended
- Eye & ear protection
- OWB Holster
- Magazine pouch(s)
- Sturdy gun belt
- Med Kit (If you do not yet own one please consider investing!)
- Please pack your lunch, adequate snacks and hydration (both water AND electrolytes).
EQUIPMENT NOTE: For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during the live-fire portion of course.
ATTIRE: Range appropriate attire: long pants, closed-toe shoes, no low-cut shirts. Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required.
