DEFENSIVE HANDGUN
This 8-hour intensive course is designed for responsible gun owners who want to sharpen their defensive handgun skills and gain confidence in dynamic, real-world scenarios. Whether you carry daily or want to be better prepared to protect yourself and your loved ones, this fast-paced, scenario-driven training will challenge you to think, move, and shoot effectively under pressure.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Functional Situational Awareness – Quickly read your surroundings before, during, and after an incident to spot threats, preserve options, and make smarter choices.
Critical Decision Making Skills – Practice fast, practical decision frameworks under stress so you act clearly and correctly in seconds.
Non-Standard Positional Shooting – “Yoga with Guns!”
Engaging from a Seated Position – “Take a Seat”
Concealed Carry Application – Hone draw and response skills from concealment so your carry setup becomes reliable under pressure.
This is not a beginner’s course – it’s designed for shooters who are comfortable with handgun and holster fundamentals who are ready to take their self-defense training to the next level. Expect hands-on coaching, scenario-based drills, and real-world problem-solving to help you build confidence, competence, and the ability to act decisively in a life-threatening situation.
EQUIPMENT
● Working semi-automatic handgun (preferably centerfire)
● 300 rounds factory FMJ (bring more if you want extra live-fire repetitions)
● Minimum of two (2) magazines; 3+ magazines strongly recommended
● PPE: Eye & ear protection, personal med kit
● IWB or OWB Holster (see note below) & magazine pouch(s)
● Sturdy gun belt
● Kneepads recommended
● Cleaning kit & lubricant
● High-collared shirt, cover/concealment garment (bring multiple options), base layers or compression garments recommended for comfort when working from concealment holsters
● Closed-toe shoes required; brimmed ball cap recommended but not required
NOTE: For safety during live fire, bra holsters, soft side-collapsible holsters, cross-draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body, and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed.
