ABOUT TATIANA

Tatiana Whitlock is a nationally recognized firearms instructor, published author, and speaker based in Maine. She is a respected educator in the self-defense community, known for teaching practical, context-driven firearm skills that empower men, women, and youth to live safer, more confident lives. Her programs focus on building real-world foundations in safety, marksmanship, and situational awareness, skills designed not just for the range, but for life.

With a professional background in fine arts and industrial design, Tatiana brings a creative and analytical approach to firearms education. Her journey into the world of shooting began after attending her first Women On Target clinic, an experience that inspired her to leave a successful career in plastics manufacturing and product design to pursue an immersive education in personal protection and defensive training.

As Director of Training at Howell’s Indoor Range & Shooting Academy in Gray, Maine, Tatiana leads a team dedicated to providing safe, modern, and inclusive instruction. She also serves as National Director of Training for A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League, where she develops national training programs, instructor education, and leadership curriculum that help women grow from first-time shooters to confident, capable marksmen and mentors.

Tatiana is a proud member of the Walther Arms Defense Division and a featured instructor on Trigger Time TV(Pursuits Channel). She is a frequent contributor and subject-matter expert for a variety of firearms publications, podcasts, and broadcast programs, where she shares insights on defensive mindset, home protection, and skill development. As a speaker, Tatiana presents across the country at national training conferences, women’s leadership events, and firearms industry expos, bringing clarity, professionalism, and inspiration to every stage.
