EXPERIENCE LEVEL: This is NOT a basic pistol course. Students must have comprehensive grasp of range etiquette and basic gun handling and safety skills. Prior formal training on holster skills is strongly recommended.

Carry with Confidence is 8-Hour class gives you the knowledge, techniques, and tips to carry concealed both comfortably and confidently. Topics covered include gear selection, holster placement, attire, lifestyle logistics, and male vs. female carry challenges. Answer the big questions about comfort and lifestyle to find the set-up that works best for you. Information and drills to build real-world situational awareness, information processing, and stress management for all facets of a deadly force encounter. Fine-tune safe and efficient technique to draw & engage from concealment as well as what to do before, during and after a deadly force event. Learn the essentials to carry with confidence!
EQUIPMENT
- Working handgun (preferably a centerfire gun)
- 200 rounds of factory FMB ball ammunition
- Minimum of two (2) magazines, 3 magazines are recommended
- Eye & ear protection
- Concealed Carry Holster of choice, belt (if applicable), mag pouches. Feel free to being options!
- Cover garments – multiple options recommended from light weight (jersey style material), mid weight (sweatshirt or similar) and heavy weight (coat or vest).
- Sturdy gun belt
- Med Kit (If you do not yet own one please consider investing!)
- Please pack your lunch, adequate snacks and hydration (both water AND electrolytes).
EQUIPMENT NOTE: For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, fabric only belly bands, Serpa style push button retention, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during the live-fire portion of course.
ATTIRE: Please consider bringing a few cover garment options to “Test drive” in class. Also recommended is some sort of base layer or compression garment for those more modest minded who don’t want to reveal more of themselves through the draw stroke from concealmemnt. Range appropriate attire: long pants, closed-toe shoes, high collared shirt. Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required.
